Oliver Gavin

Oliver Benjamin Gavin ( born September 29, 1972 in Huntingdon ) is a British racing driver.

Oliver Gavin, who started like many other racers his career in karting, celebrated some success in the single-seater, but is known primarily as a sports car driver. In 1990, he won the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award 1995, the professional world was first noticed him when he won the British Formula 3 Championship. He drove in the 1996 ITC and later in Formula 3000 and was for a time test driver for Pacific Formula 1 team. Before the commitment by Bernd Mayländer he drove in the late 1990s, a season, the Safety Car of Formula 1

Currently, Oliver Gavin is dedicated for Chevrolet in the ALMS. At the 24 Hours of Le Mans he was twelve times since 2001 at the start. In the years 2004, 2005 and 2006, Gavin won, each with Olivier Beretta and Jan Magnussen as partners, the class of LM GT 1 on a Chevrolet Corvette.
