Oliver Lodge

Sir Oliver Joseph Lodge ( born June 12, 1851 in Penkhull in Stoke -on-Trent; † August 22, 1940 ) was an English physicist.

His greatest achievements lie in the practical application of physics - he was a pioneer of radio and constructed spark plugs, vacuum tubes and speakers.

1901 to 1903 and 1932 was Oliver Lodge president of the Society for Psychical Research.
