Olle Ã…hlund

Sten Olov " Olle " Åhlund ( born August 22, 1920 in Degerfor, † February 11, 1996 ) was a Swedish football player and coach.

1939 debuted Åhlund for Degerfors IF in the Allsvenskan. In 1951 he was awarded the Guldbollen as Sweden's Footballer of the Year. After 312 first division matches he ended his active career in 1959. He later coached the club.

On November 15, 1942 Åhlund came to his international debut as Sweden in Zurich lost with 1-3 against Switzerland. As a substitute he won gold at the 1948 Olympic Games and in 1950 was third in the World Championship. At the Olympics in 1952 again succeeded in third place. Overall, he played 34 international matches.
