Olli Ahvenlahti

Olli Ahvenlahti ( born August 6, 1949 in Helsinki) is a Finnish jazz pianist, conductor and composer.

Ahvenlahti had from the age of seven piano lessons and studied from 1960 to 1974 at the Sibelius Academy. He then worked in New York with Jim McNeely, Andy Laverne, Mark Soskin and Ted Rosenthal.

After studying in England, he worked in Finland with groups such as Unison, The Group, Conjunto Baron, the Eero Koivistoinen Quartet, the Avenlahti - Johansson Quintet and the UMO Jazz Orchestra, where he served from 1977 to 1982.

In addition Ahvenlahti occurred as a musician and conductor in radio and television broadcasts and as a companion at the Concours Euro Vision Song Contest.
