Olof Johansson

Olof Johansson ( born July 31, 1937 in Ljungby ) is a Swedish politician of the Centerpartiet.

Life

Johansson made ​​from 1970 his military service as a reserve officer from. After that, he studied economics at the Stockholm School of Economics. Johansson began to become politically active and was from 1969 to 1971 chairman of the youth organization of the Centerpartiet. From 1987 to 1998 Johansson was the successor of Karin Söder Party Leader of the Centerpartiet. He was succeeded as party chairman Lennart Daléus. From 1991 to 1994 Johansson was the successor of Brigitta Dahl Environment Minister in Sweden. Next Environment Minister was Görel Thurdin.

In the Riksdag Johansson was sitting as a deputy from 1971 to 1976, 1978-1979 and 1982-1988. According to the end of his political career Johansson worked in the Swedish private sector. From 2002 to 2009 he was Chairman of the Swedish National Group Systembolaget.
