Olza, Spain

Cendea de Olza (Basque Oltza Zendea ) is a Spanish municipality in the Comunidad Foral de Navarra and the comarca of Cuenca de Pamplona. It has 1802 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) and is located a few kilometers west of Pamplona.

Cendea de Olza is made up of nine villages, which have the status of a " concejo ":

  • Arazuri: 376 inhabitants.
  • Artázcoz: 29 inhabitants.
  • Asiaín: 153 inhabitants.
  • Ibero: 215 inhabitants.
  • Izcue: 73 inhabitants.
  • Izu: 30 inhabitants.
  • Lizasoain: 75 inhabitants.
  • Olza: 51 inhabitants.
  • Ororbia: 533 inhabitants.

Personalities

  • Miguel Angel Lecumberri Erburu (1924-2007) was titular bishop of Lambiridi and Vicar Apostolic of Tumaco in Colombia.
