Omneya Abdel Kawy

Omneya Abdel Kawy ( born August 15, 1985 in Cairo ) is an Egyptian squash player.

Career

Omneya Abdel Kawy won in their junior career in 2003 in her hometown of Cairo Junior World Championship after she was in 2001 still failed to Nicol David in the final. Since 1999 she has worked as a professional player active on the WSA tour and won eight titles so far. It reached 2010, with the ladies as the first African woman ever the final of the World Cup, defeated there but again the Malaysian Nicol David. With the Egyptian national team was in 2008 and 2012 world champion, after it with this already became Vice World Champion 2006. Her best in the world rankings, it reached in October 2010 with fourth place. The Pan-African Games in 2003 Omneya Abdel Kawy won the gold medal in both the individual and in the team competition.
