OMX
The OMX AB was founded in 2003, is a Scandinavian Shared Stock Exchange.
The OMX includes the stock exchanges together in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn, Vilnius, Riga and Reykjavík and is therefore also called " Nordic Stock Exchange ." In addition, include the Armenian market for OMX.
The German Stock Exchange and OMX jointly develop a standard of " Financial Information eXchange " Protocol ( FIX Protocol ) for communication between market participants and exchanges.
In May 2007 it was announced that the NASDAQ is planning a merger with OMX. The NASDAQ offered $ 3.8 billion for the OMX. Since February 27, 2008, both exchanges are operated by the NASDAQ OMX Group.
