On the Trinity
De Trinitate is the major philosophical works of Augustine. At reasoning power and importance of it on a par with City of God and the Confessions. His work documents the end of ancient way of thinking and living.
Structure
The work is divided into fifteen books. The first book deals with the proof of the unity and equality of the three divine persons on the basis of Scripture. He tried doing an interpretation of some apparently against the equality of the Son with the Father speaking scriptural texts.
