Ondřejov (Pelhřimov District)

Ondřejov ( German Andreas village) is a village in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers south-west of Pelhřimov and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Ondřejov located in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands on the right slope of the Hejlovkatales. To the northwest lies, fed from the reservoir Hejlovka Hejlovký fishpond, in the north of the Hejlov rises (609 m). The crest of the hill located in the southeast Zeleny vrch was largely degraded by a quarry. By Ondřejov leads the state road 34 / E 551 between Pelhřimov and Jindřichův Hradec.

Neighboring towns are Vlásenice in the north, Holákov, Myslotín and Vokov in the northeast, Rynárec in the east, in the southeast Libkova Voda, Ústrašín and boron in the southwest, Lhotka, Myslov and Chmelná in the west and Částkovice in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Ondřejov dates from the year 1406. At the time, the location of a property, the rule Lhotka was submissive.

After 1900, the granite mining began vrch on the Zeleny. Since 1990 Ondřejov is independently again, before the town was incorporated to Božejov. The biggest companies of the village is that of the Czech subsidiary of STRABAG SE, Kamenolomy ČR sro, powered quarry, of which the reserves until 2050.
