Online Contest (gliding)

The online contest is an online platform for line competitions in the fields of gliders, hang gliders, hang gliders and model. The target audience for these competitions are popular sports in the first place. In these sectors there are both national and international ratings as well as various performance classes.

Operation

  • The pilot unloads after landing the recorded GPS track log and the barogram by a special certified program or directly via OLC website on his PC.
  • By uploading the tracks to the server of the online contest calculating the furthest distance and possibly best turning points of the flight is undertaken and evaluated. Obvious tampering with the track are also checked.
  • The entered Flights to flow immediately into the respective rank lists a (single & Club, national & international).
  • A jury composed of the tracks can be checked and invalidated if certain requirements were not met.
  • All flights can be viewed over the Internet. It can select the tracks are downloaded to the PC and displayed using special software and analyzed. In addition, the flights can be viewed in Google Earth.

Soaring League ( OLC- League)

A relatively young and new variant of a decentralized Streckensegelflug Competition, established in 2001, is the team competition, the glider Bundesliga. This glider pilots fly across the country from the end of April in 19 rounds, each Saturday and Sunday to the points. It takes into account each 3 fastest flights of a club, where the calculation of the velocity takes place in a time window of 2.5 hours and this section will be evaluated with an airplane index.

The OLC -League will be flown to different countries around the world. In Germany (30 clubs), the 2nd Bundesliga (30 clubs) and the qualification League (500 clubs) and the respective national league of the 16 states will be considered in the 1st Bundesliga.

IGC- OLC World League

As a further development of the national leagues, was launched the first global decentralized rating in April 2006, in which the 5 best national teams are summarized per round to an international rating. When classified according to the will OLC- League speed. The winner gets 20, the second 19 points, etc. From the 20th rank everyone gets a point.

As of February 2011, the test operation of the OLC platform for gliders was included in the category ModelGliding - OLC.
