OnutÄ— NarbutaitÄ—

Onutė Narbutaitė ( born June 12, 1956 in Vilnius) is a Lithuanian composer.

Life

Narbutaitė visited the Čiurlionis Art School in Bronius Kutavičius and until 1979 at the Art Academy in Julius Juzeliūnas. From 1979 to 1982 she taught music theory and history at the Faculty of the Conservatory Klaipeda in Lithuania. Since then she works as a freelance composer in Vilnius.

For the Oratory centones meae urbi she was honored in 1997 with the Lithuanian Art and Culture Award.
