History of the University "Ukraine"

Creation and development

The decision on the establishment of the Open International University of Human Development " Ukraine " is at the first meeting of the founders ( including state administration of the city of Kiev, Ukrainian Confederation of Disabled People, International Charitable Foundation for Human Development, Ukrainian Deaf Association, International Charitable Foundation for the disabled from Chernobyl, etc.) on June 30, 1998 has been taken. Already on 12 July of the next year, the Admissions Committee started its work and for the first semester 1616 students were enrolled. In the same year, the first stores were opened in 20 cities of Ukraine. In 2000, two more branches were opened and recorded the students for 28 subjects. The total number of students reached 6000. During 2001, the branches of the University were in 24 cities across the country in all regions. The number of students reached 12,000. In the city of Lutsk was created based on the branch of the University of the Lutsk Institute for Human Development and formed in Kiev on the basis of the University's Institute for harmony of generations for the adaptation of older people to the realities of the present. The study at the University is carried out in 30 subjects licensed in 22 branches and two studies and consultation centers. The number of students amounts to 17,000 in 1500 including the disabled. 2003-2004 were added new branches and study and consultation centers. The most successful stores were to institutions. The admission of students was carried out in 47 subjects, the total number of students reached 25,000.

At an important stage in the development of the university was the implementation of the educational experiment - the introduction of the F - studies. This innovation has been jointly approved by both the Ministry of Education and by the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. On February 24, 2004, the first local center for F- studying in the city Polonnje ( Khmelnitsky region ) was created. Later another 16 regional centers of the remote teaching and more than 300 local centers were added. In July 2004, included the University " Ukraine " almost 33,000 students, including over 15,000 in the F - studies. On 19 April 2005 the University received the 3-4 level of accreditation. 2006, the new building of the University " Ukraine " (N 1) in the street Lwiwska taken 23 into operation.
