Order of Faithful Service

The Faithful Service Medal was instituted on April 28, 1932 by King Carol II of Romania and was to honor persons who have provided, who had rendered outstanding because of its excellent long-standing and loyal service to the Kingdom of Romania. A ceremony to foreigners was possible. In 2000, the Order was re-established by President Ion Iliescu.

Classes

The Order was first founded in 1937 and four classes to another class, the Officer's Cross, expanded. The number of his Romanian members was limited and was increased in each class by decree of 22 November 1938.

Order decoration

The religious character is a silver gilt light blue enamelled cross Ruppert, meanwhile, cross arm ends runs a dense laurel wreath. In the medallion winning escutcheon of the royal family, which is flanked by two lions as a plate holder. The rear of the two-line inscription SERVICIU CREDINCIOS ( Trust Services ), which is surrounded by a wreath of laurel (right) and oak leaves (left). Between Cross and suspension ring is a royal crown.

For military merit, the Order could also be awarded with crossed swords through the cross angle.

The present embodiment differs only by the Romanian state emblem on the medallion. Instead of the crown is now located between the cross and wearing a ring oak wreath.

Carrying method

At the ceremony for the first class, the Grand Cross is worn on a Collar of. The second class is worn on a sash from the right shoulder to the left hip and chest with a eight-pointed star, on which rests the religious character. Grand Officers wear next to the breast star of the Order of characters as well as officers on the tape on the left side of the chest, neck commanders the distinction of being religious.

The ribbon is light blue with a white center stripe.

In the Romanian religious system of the Faithful Service Medal was ranked in third place before the Order of the Star of Romania and the Order of the Crown of Romania.
