Order of Lāčplēsis

The Bärentöter Order ( lett Lāčplēša Kara ordenis ) is named after the Latvian national epic Lāčplēsis ( Bärentöter ) by the poet Andrejs Pumpurs ( 1841-1902 ) named, and was the first military Order of Merit of independent Latvia.
