Order of the October Revolution

The Order of the October Revolution ( Russian Орден Октябрьской Революции / Order Oktjabrskoi Revolyutsii ) was a civil order of the Soviet Union. Donated to mark the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution on 31 October 1967 he has been awarded to people or institutions who have rendered services to the Soviet Union. The Order was the second highest award after the Order of Lenin. He was driven to a Fünfeckspange.

Design of the Order

Order characters

The religious character consisted of a red enameled star with golden border and beam. In the center of the star pentagon with the cruiser Aurora was seen from which a banner with the inscription ОКТЯБРЬСКАЯ РЕВОЛЮЦИЯ ( German: October Revolution) stood out. Beneath the Aurora there was the state emblem, consisting of a hammer and sickle.

Ordensspange

On the medal bar ( band buckle) five blue vertical stripes were incorporated into the middle on a red background.
