Orduspor

Orduspor is a football club from the northern Turkish city of Ordu. They currently play in the second highest league PTT Turkish Lig 1

History

On September 19, 1967 Orduspor was formed by the merger of the local clubs in Ordu Ordugücü, Ordu İdmanyurdu and Ocak Gençlik. The club's colors Purple and White were taken over by the former Italian champions AC Fiorentina.

From 1975 to 1981, and from 1983 to 1986 the club played nine seasons long in the first division. The best placement reached the club 1978/79 with fourth place. Thus Orduspor could begin in 1979 in the UEFA Cup, but resigned the same in the first round against the Czechoslovak club Banik Ostrava ( first leg 2-0, second leg 0:6 ) from.

The in season 2005/ 06 sixth-placed in the Second League Orduspor lost the relegation match against Altay Izmir 1-0 and so missed the rise in the Turkcell Süper Lig After the 2010/11 season could Orduspor as the winner of the play-off tournament after 20 years back to celebrate promotion to the top division of Turkey. But two years later the team got back into the second division.

The club has produced many well-known Turkish players, as Salih Aydoğan, Ustun Türközer, Arif Güney Güney and Turgay, Fikret Ayabakan, Kemal Yıldırım, Güven Türközer, Sinan Bayraktar, Fevzi Elmas, Bruno Ferreira Mombra Pink, Şükrü Bekiroğlu and Hakan Keskin. The fan clubs of the association FİDANGÖR, 52 Genç taraftarlar, MorMenekşeler, Mor & Beyaz1967 and Çatlaklar call themselves.

Known coach

The best-known manager of Orduspor was Lefter Küçükandonyadis. He played 50 games for the Turkish national football team and scored 21 goals. He has played for the Italian club Fiorentina. He coached Orduspor in 1986.
