Oreste Bilancia

Oreste bilancia (* September 24, 1881 in Catania, † October 31, 1945 in Rome ) was an Italian actor.

Life and work

Bilancias career began in 1902 as a dialect actresses at the stage troupe Galli- Gusti - Ciarli - Bracci, where he acted as second comedian. His next stop was the group Calabresi Severi. From 1910 to 1913 he was director of the Casino of Sanremo, then from 1914 Head of the Kursaal of Montecatini.

The end of 1914 the production company Ambrosio in Turin hired him as a film actor. The plump, usually equipped with a monocle bilancia was a good busy supporting actor, who was involved in numerous major films of the Italian silent film. In 1925 he took - in Italy there was the cinema crisis - an offer from Germany, and was in the following years until the end of the silent era in numerous German films to see.
