Oskar Rescher

Oskar Rescher (* October 1, 1883, † March 26, 1972 ), also known as Osman Reser, was a German Arabist and turkologist who lived in Istanbul since 1928. He has translated many works from Arabic and Turkish.

The acquired during his work and research in Istanbul library of hundreds of handwritten codices is now in the possession of the Berlin State Library and the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library, Yale University.
