Osterstedt
Osterstedt is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg -Eckernförde in Schleswig -Holstein.
History
The town was first mentioned in 1349 as Ostede. The municipality consists of the two parts of the municipality Alsen and Osterstedt, which are separated by the Osterstedter Au.
Geography and transport
Osterstedt is about 27 km west of Neumünster and 22 km south of Rendsburg on the edge of the nature park Aukrug. Southeast of Osterstedt intersect the state road 77 from Rendsburg to Itzehoe and the federal highway 430 from Neumünster towards Schenefeld. The village lies on the north runway served by the railway line Neumünster Heath.
