Ostromecko

Ostromecko ( German: Ostrometzko; 1942-45: Easter Metz) is a village with 880 inhabitants in the powiat Bydgoski the Kujawsko - Pomerania in Poland.

Short Description

In Ostromecko there are two locks. The older was built in 1758-1766 in the late Baroque style; the larger, classical originated in 1849 according to plans by Schinkel student Eduard Titz. The castles were the Schönborn family, and from 1890 to 1945 the family of Alvensleben ( Albrecht von Schönborn - Alvensleben ). Also located in the village built a church 1763-1764. Since 1894, bottled water is obtained from the so-called Sauerbrunnen -Marie source in Ostromecko.
