Otakar Německý

Otakar Německý ( born March 2, 1902 in Nové Město na Moravě, † March 18, 1967 in Brno ) was a Czechoslovak skier.

Německý was the younger brother of Joseph Skilangläufers Německý. He won at the Nordic World Ski Championships 1925 in 18 -km cross-country skiing and in the discipline of single ( normal hill / 18 km), respectively the world title. Two years later he won at the Nordic World Ski Championships 1927 in the discipline of single ( normal hill / 18 km) and was the silver medal at the Winter Olympic Games in 1928 as a soldier participants of the Czechoslovak team in Vorführbewerb military patrol run. With this run he scored sixth place along with Josef Klouček Jan Bedřich and Robert Möhwald. He also started in cross country and was in an individual over 18 km at the end of Sixteenth. In Nordic Combined, he finished ninth in the individual competition.
