Otherwise is an alternative rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

History

After the band's formation in 2005, Otherwise a long time remained known only regionally. Their first CD, named after the band itself, was released in 2006 via the Online Shop CD Baby. Thanks to the single Soldiers, published in 2011, the band was able to sign a record deal with Century Media Records.

2012 was followed by the release of their first album, True Love Never Dies, which by Jay Baumgardner, who has been with Papa Roach, Seether and POD had worked, was produced. The album reached number 123 of the U.S. Billboard charts. The album was next to 13 new songs and the song Silence Reigns, that was the title track of the previous album. Among other things, the band performed as a support of 3 Doors Down, Daughtry, Stone Sour, Papa Roach and Motley Crue.

In October 2013 published Otherwise the EP "Enjoy The Pain", which was offered as a free download.

Drummer Corky Gainsford played previously in the Blue Man Group. During his studies at Stanford University, he organized, among other concerts by Beck, Ben Harper and Cake. In the Loudwire Music Awards 2012, organized by the online music platform Loudwire, Otherwise was nominated as " Best Newcomer", finished in the local vote, but only 5th place
