Otomatic

Otomatic is a prototype of an anti-aircraft tank, which was developed by the Italian company Oto Melara in the 1980s. On the modified chassis of Palmaria self-propelled howitzer, a variant of the ship's gun was installed 76/62 Compact. The tank has a search radar to detect enemy aircraft and a fire control radar to direct the anti-aircraft gun. Objectives in up to 6 km distance can be effectively combated.

The Italian Army tested the weapon system based on a Leopard 1 chassis. For cost reasons, it finally opted for the much less powerful SIDAM 25
