The Otterbach is a 8.4 km long in a north- northeasterly direction to the monastery of Beuren Bach back flowing stream in the district of Lower Allgäu. It is a left tributary of the monastery Beuren Bach and thus an indirect tributary of the Günz and consequently the Danube.

It rises south-southeast of Otter of Wald ( Niederrieden ) to about 650 m above sea level. NN. The creek flows to almost the entire route from the source to the mouth through forests. Before the Otterbach on the southern outskirts of the monastery Beuren (municipality Babenhausen ) to 557 m above sea level. NN. empties into the monastery Beuren river, the river flows through only the location Otter forest. On a large part of the river length of Otterbach forms the municipal boundary between the municipalities Egg at the Günz east of the creek and Niederrieden, Boos and Babenhausen west of the creek.
