Otto Dumke

Otto Dumke ( born April 29, 1887 in Berlin, † August 4, 1912 ) was a German football player.

The massive striker began his career at Viktoria 89 Berlin, then moved to Britannia 92 Berlin, but returned back in 1906. A year later he was with the Victorians already in the final of the German Cup against FC Freiburg. The Berlin but lost 1:3.

1908 Otto Dumke won his Victoria then the title by a 3-1 win against Stuttgarter Kickers; One year later, the people of Berlin failed to defend the title: They lost phoenix Karlsruhe 2:4.

But then it kriselte Viktoria 89 Berlin. Briefly joined the entire first team out of the club. However, all players returned and with it the success.

1911 won the Victoria their second championship title. This time, the VfB Leipzig was defeated 3-1. A short time later, the club rushed but definitely in the crisis and ultimately disappeared from the scene.

Although he had completed several finals of the German championship, Dumke it never scored a goal. He had a sizable ball handling and had a train to the gate. Due to its special type of ball handling he was called also " slide ". Hidden not remained his qualities in the important people who were in charge of the national team.

Thus came Dumke 1911 two international matches against Sweden. In the very first game he scored it as the first German National Player 3 hits. The second game was lost with 1:3 and Dumke also scored no hits.

In the same year Dumke suffered a serious lung disorder in which he died in 1912.
