Life

Otto was Count on the Habsburg. He was probably the first person who gave himself the title of Habsburg. He was also Landgraf in Upper Alsace and bailiff to Muri.

He accompanied the Emperor Henry V in 1108 on the expedition against Hungary.

On his return he was assassinated on November 8, 1111.
