Owen (musician)

Owen is a music project of emo and indie musician Mike Kinsella from Chicago, Illinois.

Band History

Mike Kinsella, a dominant figure in the Chicago emo scene, played in Cap'n Jazz, Joan of Arc, The One Up Downstairs, American Football and Owls before 2001, his project started Owen, with whom he at Singer -songwriter understanding wanted to develop and realize their own musical ideas. Therefore, he also often worked alone to record his compositions. The first album Mike Kinsella played a with a software funded by Polyvinyl Records. So far, five more album were released under the name Owen. In between was Mike Kinsella but always time to record an album for Joan of Arc with brother Tim Kinsella and others.

Style

The music of Owen stands in contrast to previous Emo and post-rock productions of Kinsella by soothing melodies, restrained instrumentation and haunting vocals from.
