Özalp ( until 1928 Kargalı, Kurdish: Qerqelî ) is a town and a district in Turkey. It belongs to the province of Van in eastern Anatolia and lies. Özalp lies to the east of the province, bordering Iran. The district has 75 324 inhabitants Özalp, the city 11,476 (as of 2011 ). The city is the provincial capital of Van and 63 km.
