P. J. Soles

PJ Soles ( born July 17, 1950 in Frankfurt am Main ) is an American actress.

Life

Soles was born on 17 July 1950 as Pamela Jayne Hardon in Frankfurt am Main as the daughter of a U.S. citizen and a Dutchman. Her father worked for an international insurance company, which meant that the family often moved. So they lived for some time in Casablanca, Maracaibo (Venezuela ), where she learned Spanish fluently, and in Brussels, where she attended the International School of Brussels. Later she attended Briarcliff College, then a girls' school in the U.S. state of New York.

After a visit of The Actors Studio, she decided to become an actress and worked for a time as an actress in commercials and modeling for fashion magazines. In New York, she married her first husband in 1971, J. Steven Soles, this marriage ended in divorce four years later again and Soles moved to Los Angeles. Despite the divorce, she decided to keep the name of her ex-husband and the future PJ Soles to name.

In Los Angeles, she took part in the joint casting of Brian De Palma and George Lucas for the movies Carrie - Satan ' youngest daughter and Star Wars part and occupied the role of Norma Watson in Carrie. Then she moved to Georgia to participate in the filming of Our Winning Season. Here she met her fellow actor Dennis Quaid, whom she married in 1978. In the same year followed her best known role as Lynda in John Carpenter's classic Halloween - The night of horror. In 1979, she played with the punk band Ramones starred in Rock ' n' Roll High School and also sang a cover version of the title song of the same name. In 1983 their marriage was with Quaid, the same year she married the fighter pilots and stunt performer Skip Holm, with whom she has two children. 1998, separated Soles and Holm.
