Paa Kwesi Nduom

Paa Kwesi Nduom (* February 15, 1953 in Elmina, Ghana ) is a leading politician in Ghana. In the administration of President John Agyekum Kufuor, he was between 2005 and the July 31, 2007 Minister of State for Public Sector Reform (Minister of State in Charge of Public Sector Reform). In the first term Nduom was already Minister of Energy. In the presidential elections in Ghana in 2008, he ran with little success for the Convention People's Party.

Nduom was born in Elmina, in the Central Region of Ghana. He attended St. Augustine's Secondary School in Cape Coast. Because of a scholarship, he was able to study at the University of Wisconsin in the U.S. and graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor in Economics.

Also at the University of Wisconsin, he received his Master degree in Management and a doctorate (Service Delivery Systems, Ph.D.) in 1982.

Nduom worked from 1975 to 1978 at Northwestern Mutul Life Insurance Company ( an insurance company ) from 1978 to 1979 the Blue Cross Shield in Wisconsin. Between 1979 and 1981 worked in the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewage Nduom District as a Budget and Management Analyst.

Nduom is a partner with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in the USA.

He has held the position as Minister of State for Public Sector Reform.
