Pablo Chinchilla

Pablo Chinchilla Vega ( born December 21, 1978 in San José ) is a Costa Rican football player. He plays as a defender.

Life and career

Chinchilla began his career in the home at LD Alajuelense. In 1998, he came into the squad for the first team of Costa Rican top clubs. With Alajuelense he was five -time champion in his homeland. In 2005 he moved to the United States to Los Angeles Galaxy, where he was responsible for the U.S. championship and the Cup victory in 2005. 2006, went to Austria to SC Rheindorf Altach, where he played until 2008 also. Then Chinchilla returned to the home and was at Municipal Liberia under contract. In January 2009, he returns to the alpine country and changed again in the highest Austrian league to LASK Linz.

Internationally, he has played 39 times for the national team of Costa Rica. He took part in the Gold Cup in 2000, 2003 and 2007. He was also at the Football World Cup 2002 in Japan and South Korea in the squad for Costa Rica.
