Pacific-Antarctic Ridge

The Pacific- Antarctic ridge is running in the South Pacific and in the adjacent Southern Ocean mid-ocean ridge. The Pacific Plate and the Antarctic Plate move apart, some with a speed from 5.4 to 7.6 cm per year, in the eastern section, near the East Pacific Rise, the value is even higher. This flowing magma and the submarine mountains piled up.
