Pahvische is the sixth music album by Eläkeläiset and contains as its predecessors only cover versions of well-known artists from the pop, rock and metal scene. In the band's own style all songs humppa melodies were converted in 2/4-cycle and received new texts in Finnish.

Background

Eläkeläiset usually only writes the songs and asks for permission to be allowed to the original covers. On Pahvische had originally Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! should be of ABBA, but the band did not receive a release. According to information Onni Varis received the cancellation by phone, as he happened to be in a Finnish record store. Lauri Ylönen also happened to be in business and spontaneously granted the permission to use The Falling.

At the end of the CD is a 25-minute hidden track, which was not listed on the cover, but the name " Humppaviritys " ( " humppa tune") bears. He is, however, only the rustling voice and music scraps a radio.

Singles

Even before the release of the album was released in mid-2001 the single " Jenkkapolkkahumppa " on the next to the songs " Humppasonni " ( " humppa Bull"; HIM - Join Me ) and " Hyljätyn humppa " (Hanoi Rocks - Do not you ever leave me) and the later on the album -to-find tracks " Humppastara " and " Jenkkapolkkahumppa " can be found.

Track one " Kiitokset humpasta " was " aarteet Oparin " together with the song published in the spring of 2002 as a single.
