Pak Kwang-ryong

Pak Kwang- ryong (* September 27, 1992 in Pyongyang, North Korea) is a North Korean football player who is under contract with the Swiss first division club FC Basel since 2011. Since 1 July 2013, he is on loan to FC Vaduz.

Club career

Pak played from July 2010 to February 2011 for the North Korean Wolmido club sport team. In the spring of 2011, he was obliged by the Swiss second division side FC Wil, was there but no serious fighting contest because the foreigner quota of the club was already exhausted.

After several tryouts and a convincing match with the U21 FCB the club management of the FC Basel 25 June 2011 the young striker decided to bind to the club to incorporate it immediately into the senior squad and him behind with a five-year contract until 30 June 2016 proven attackers Alexander Frei, Marco Streller and Jacques Zoua build as another striker. He played in Uhrencup and scored a goal against West Ham United.

His league debut for FC Basel he was 16 July 2011 in a 1-1 draw in their opening league match against BSC Young Boys at the Stade de Suisse Bern when he came on in the 86th minute for Gilles Yapi Yapo. His first league goal for FC Basel, he scored 4 April 2012 the deficit to 2-0 Final victory in the away game against the Lausanne-Sport. At the end of the season Pak won the Double with FC Basel the championship title and the Cup victory.

In the 2012/13 season, Pak could not prevail in the first team, so he played for the U-21 team. He scored six goals in twelve. On January 11, 2013 Pak was loaned for six months to the Challenge League club AC Bellinzona.

National

Pak took the North Korean U-23 football team at the Asian Games 2010 in the People's Republic of China in part, reaching there its quarterfinal and scored a goal. At the AFC Challenge Cup 2010 in Sri Lanka, he came in the senior team to five inserts. Pak, who made his debut on 17 February 2010 in the senior team against Turkmenistan, scoring a hit with his team and was winner of the tournament.
