PÃ¥l Lydersen

Pål Lydersen ( born September 10, 1965) is a former Norwegian football player.

The center-back started his career at Start Kristiansand in his native Norway. In 1991, he was obliged by good performances in his parent club from the English giants Arsenal. However, the Norwegians could not prevail against the very strong full-back Lee Dixon and Nigel Winterburn, and came in two years to only 16 games. Lydersen was passively involved in a scandal in English football. His advisor Rune Hauge paid the former coach of the Gunners George Graham £ 425,000 that he takes it and John Jensen, another player, the Hauge represented under contract. 1994, after this scandal became public, Lydersen moved back to Start Kristiansand. After a year in Norway, he tried his last minute in Austria for SK Sturm Graz. The Austria - adventure ended after a year and the defender left his career at his hometown club Start Kristiansand and at Molde FK finish. Lydersen finished his career in 1999. Internationally, he played 20 times for the Norwegian national football team, scoring one goal.
