Palace of Sports, Kiev

The Sports Palace Kiev ( Ukr: Київський палац спорту, Kijewski Palats Sportu ) is a concert and sports arena in the Ukrainian capital Kiev, near the stadium NSK Olimpijskyj

The 1960 after plans by the architects Mykhailo Hrechyna and Oleksiy Sawarow opened Sports Arena offers 10,000 seats for concerts and 7,000 for sporting events. In the hall are held ice hockey, basketball and championship boxing matches. The home teams include the Hockey Club HK Sokol Kiev and the Kiev basketball clubs BK and BK Budiwelnik Kiev.

Concerts were held in the hall of Deep Purple, A- ha, Backstreet Boys, TATu, Britney Spears, Placebo, Depeche Mode and Lenny Kravitz, as well as the Euro Vision Song Contest 2005.
