Palazzo Biscari
The Biscari is the most important palace of the Sicilian city of Catania.
History
The Palazzo was built by order of the Paternò Castello di principi Biscari family by Baroque architect Alonzo di Benedetto. The portal from the 18th century stands on the Via Museo Biscari. In 1772, finally, to the artist Matteo Sebastiano Lo Monaco have Desiderato and completes the construction. A famous visitor, the Biscari record: Johann Wolfgang Goethe, who was received by Prince Biscari on May 3, 1787.

Facade
It is worth noting in particular the facade. It was built so that they could be seen by ships passing out because of the Palazzo once stood next to the sea. The windows of the sea facing facade decorated with decorations by the sculptor Antonino Amato from Messina.
Affairs
The interior of the Palazzo Biscari and the wedding hall are decorated in the rococo style. The room was equipped with mirrors and frescoes.
