Palazzo Gherardi

The Palazzo Gherardi is a palace from the 15th century on the Via Ghibellina 88 in Florence.

The building faces the street on a great facade. On the ground floor are located between square, by the stony frame windows of the main entrance and a small side entrance, which was intended for the service. The two upper floors are characterized by cornices and window rows of closely spaced, einbögigen niches. Inside the building is a staircase with balustrade and a small inner courtyard. Here are the directed to the yard, exterior walls arches that are supported by octagonal pillars. This style indicates a period of transition between the Middle Ages and Renaissance.
