Paleolibertarianism

Paläolibertarismus (English Paleolibertarianism ) is a form of libertarianism. The theory of Paläolibertarismus was founded in the USA by Lew Rockwell. A major center of this way of thinking is the Ludwig von Mises Institute of Alabama. The Paläolibertarismus is a mix of libertarianism in the political and cultural conservatism in social issues.

The Paläolibertarismus is generally characterized by:

  • A political alliance with the purpose Paläokonservatismus as both parties see the Democratic Party as the common enemy
  • Rejection of interventionist U.S. foreign policy and the associated neo-conservatism
  • A free market is sought
  • Private property as the supreme good of a free society
  • Rejection of the welfare state as an organized theft
  • Social authorities such as the family, the church, etc., should protect the individual from the state

Known representatives of Paläolibertarismus are Ron Paul ( candidate of the Libertarian Party in the presidential election in 1988, Republican candidate for the nomination for the 2008 presidential election, 2012), Rand Paul, Murray Rothbard, Lew Rockwell, Hans -Hermann Hoppe, Thomas DiLorenzo (born 1954 ), Stephen D.
