Palestinian government of June 2007
The government of the Palestinian Authority in July 2007 was sworn in after the dissolution of the national unity government of Prime Minister Ismail Haniyya and one month after the swearing of an emergency government.

Resignation
On March 7, 2009, led by Fayyad government resigned to clear the way for a unity government with the participation of Fatah and Hamas. President Mahmoud Abbas called on Fayyad to remain in the office during the negotiations. After five rounds of such negotiations brokered by Egypt failed, Fayyad was again appointed on 19 May by Abbas to the post of prime minister, reshuffled the government and expanded to 20 ministers. This new government was sworn in on 19 May 2009 and, according to Hamas has no legitimacy.
