Pálffy Palace (Bratislava)

The Palais Palffy (often confused with the Palais Palffy in Panská ulica; Slovak Pálfiho palác ) is a palace in the Baroque style in Bratislava. It is located in the old town in the Ventúrska Street.

History

The present building was erected in 1747 and was owned by the influential noble family Palffy. It stands out for its interesting door and the two Pawlatschen courtyards. The grand staircase was built of hard stone emperor by the imperial quarry near Vienna. 1762 the then six- year-old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart gave a concert here.

By 2012, in the house the Austrian embassy was housed.
