Palian District

Amphoe Palian ( Thai: อำเภอ ปะเหลียน ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the province of Trang. Trang Province is located in the southern region of Thailand.

Geography

The county Palian located south of the Prpvinz.

Adjacent counties and regions are ( from east clockwise): the Amphoe Kong Ra, Tamot and Pa Bon Phatthalung Province, the Amphoe Khuan Kalong, Manang and Thung Wa Province Satun and Amphoe Hat Samran and Amphoe Yan Ta Khao in the province of Trang.

Parts of the National Park Mu Ko Phetra are in the county.

History

Palian was originally called Yong Sata ( Thai: ห ยง ส ตา ). 1939 got its present name.

Management

Amphoe Palian is divided into ten sub-districts ( tambon), which continued in 85 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Tha Kham ( Thai: { {lang < th | เทศบาล ตำบล ท่า ข้าม }} ), consisting of parts of the tambon Tha Kham,
