Palmarola

Palmarola (it.: Isola di Palmarola ) is the second largest island in the archipelago of the Italian Pontine Islands, which also Ponza, Gavi, Ventotene, Santo Stefano and Zannone belong.

Palmarola is located about 10 km west of the main island of Ponza Ponza and belongs to the municipality. It has an area of ​​136 hectares. The maximum height is located on Monte Guarniere, which rises 249 meters above sea level. On the island there are obsidian.

The diving area near the Grotta di Mezzogiorno has a depth of 20 meters.
