Pam Marshall

Pam Marshall ( born August 16, 1960) is a former American track and field athlete.

Marshall was 1986 national champion in the 100 - and 200 -meter run. At 200 meters, she defended her title the following year successfully. At the World Athletics Championships 1987 in Rome she won the anchor leg in the 4 x 100 meters relay together with Alice Brown, Diane Williams and Florence Griffith - Joyner the gold medal ahead of the teams from East Germany and the Soviet Union. They also finished third in 200 -meter run and fourth in the 100 - meter race in eighth place. In 1988, she ran the 200 meters in 21.93 seconds, just 22 hundredths of a second slower than the then held by Marita Koch and Heike Drechsler world record.
