Mausoleum on the top of the mountain

The Pančić's Peak (Cyrillic: Панчићев врх, German: Pancic summit) is with 2017 m the highest peak of Kopaonik in southern Serbia directly on the border between central Serbia and Kosovo. On Pančić's Peak is the largest and most modern ski center in Serbia. At the summit itself is a mausoleum, which is intended for the Serbian botanist Josif Pančić. He explored the first Kopaonik mountains and as the highest peak of this mountain was named after him on July 7, 1951. Before that, the mountain was called Milanov Vrh. The mausoleum was damaged during the Kosovo war in 1999 in a bomb attack by NATO aircraft.
