Pankow is an Italian band.

Band History

The band was founded in 1982 in Florence. The founding members only lasted a few years. Later, the band from the permanent members Maurizio Fasolo Alex Spalck and Paolo Favati existed. After increasing popularity in Europe, the formation was also famous for extended tours in the U.S. - mainly by the angry, quirky texts ( in German language) and danceable rhythms that. 1996 album with complete lyrics in Italian was published, which included Pankow brachialste electronic sounds and beats until then. Singers on this CD, however, was Gianluca Becuzzi, which included only for this recording as a singer for the band. With him, also the last European tour the band took place. After this controversial, simply called " PANKOW " titled CD activities for around five years were recruited. Many fans regret the absence of the typical Spalckschen texts. The following plates sang again Alex Spalck, the band specially sought for shooting in his new home country of Australia. The current band members are Maurizio Fasolo (FM), Enzo Regi, Massimo Michelotti, Paolo Favati and Alex Spalck.

The latest album " Great Minds Against Themselves Conspire " was released in 2007 and included a song in the style of folky Sinti (Flash Me With Your Rage ).

Style

The style is very unique and a little influenced by Kraftwerk. In the rhythm of different speeds, electronic structures mingle with English / German lyrics. Minor similarities of sounds there are to Einstürzende Neubauten.
