Papabile

Papabile ( from Italian, plural: papabili; literally: pope capable) is a colloquial term for the Cardinals, where opportunities are given at a papal election.

Tell who was in each case papabile, is a regularly recurring theme, especially when new cardinals are appointed or the Pope in poor health. The experience of recent papal elections showed, however, that a publicly traded as papabile candidate was actually chosen only in the lower part of the falls. In Rome, the saying is true: Who's going to the pope conclave as cardinal comes out again. That is why the Cardinals basically a statement before a conclave not publicly about possible candidates.

The naming of a cardinal in a papabile list is therefore an ambivalent affair and can express three things:
