Papal household

Pontifical Family (Italian: Pontificia famiglia ) is the name of the official, ecclesiastical dignitaries and church officials, who are located in the immediate vicinity of the Pope and the Pope thereby help to control the Papal States and to lead.

The Pontifical family consists of clergy and laity, as well as members of the Pontifical Chapel, especially clergy, which the honorary title of Papal honor Kaplan ( Monsignor ), Pontifical honorary prelate and Apostolic prothonotary wear, as well as support of the Pontifical New Year's Eve and St Gregory, the Knights of the Holy grave in Jerusalem and the Knights of Malta. In addition, include several officials in the Vatican, which support the Pope as head of state in a special way, to the Pontifical Family. The Pontifical family is headed by the Pontifical House.
