The Para ( Russian Пара ) is a 192 km long right tributary of the Oka in the European part of Russia.

Course

The Para rises a few kilometers south of the border in the Ryazan Oblast Tambov and from there flows first to the north. Just before the junction with the Werda it bends from the northwest.

In Krasnoje she goes back in mostly northerly direction and flows through the twisty intensively farmed Oka -Don plain. A little north of Schilowo the river finally flows into the Oka.

The Para is average from November to April, frozen.
